Many people confuse wisdom with knowledge while that are just totally different. Knowledge is the fact and information that people gain from education. However, wisdom is having and using knowledge and experience to understand the meaning of life and for a person to be wise. Knowledge is the word, but wisdom is how to use the word in a sentence. One thing about wisdom is that it is timeless; one cannot lose wisdom. When a person has wisdom it will stay with him. However, knowledge can change, improve, or can be forgotten. One can gain knowledge from the outer world, but one can have wisdom from personal experience and from the inner soul and self.
Wisdom is not communicable. The wisdom which a wise man tries to communicate always sounds foolish… Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom. One can find it, live it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach it.
This is a really famous quote from a book called “Siddhartha.” This book talked about a young man that was trying to reach enlightenment. Through his journey, he understood what wisdom and knowledge was and understood their differences. What the quote is trying to say is that one has his own wisdom, while more than one person can have the same knowledge. Your wisdom is different than anyone and your wisdom can be insane for anyone else, and anyone’s wisdom can be insane to you.
