Egypt’s Presidential Elections are coming up soon, really soon. It’s the time for the Egyptians to finally choose their president. However, unlike any other presidential elections in the world, there are only two candidates, Abdel Fatah el Sisi and Hamden Sabahi. Abdel Fatah el Sis was the ex-minister of defense and he was able to get many Egyptians to support him after he overthrew the Muslim Brother hood and Hamadan Sabahi was an old candidate who came third in the presidential elections in 2012.
To start with, the elections will take place on the 26th and 27th of May and the winner will be announced on the 5th of June. However, if there are any ties, then there will be another elections on the 16th and 17th of June and the winner will be announced on the 26th of June. Any Egyptians who are living abroad will start electing on the 15th and 16th of May.
Who should you vote for? No one should have an answer right now because if one has an answer they did not choose they just picked who they like or not. An Egyptian should open both candidates’ campaign and from then one should decide who should they vote for. Then, if you are 16 years or older go and vote for him. El Sisi has his fans and the people that will vote for him and Hamdan also his people, but who will be able to grab more people to vote for him. In reality, Sisi has more people behind him, regardless of the army, he has many Egyptians that are chanting his name. Many say that it is obvious that Sisi will win, but can Hamdan get votes and win? Well, we will see who wins in June 5th.
