10 Facts You Never Knew

No one in the world knows everything. And I’m here to prove it! I am here to present you with facts so bizarre, so unbelievable, so inexplicably weird that…I don’t know! Your head will explode or something. So, without further ado, I present to you:

                                                         10 Facts You Never Knewquestion-mark

NUMBER 1

It Was Raining Frogs

I’m not even joking! I had to look this one up! But, believe it or not, in a Mexican town in the year 1997, a storm came in and rained – you guessed it – frogs.

NUMBER 2

Some Eskimos Use Refrigerators

That’s crazy, right? Unbelievable – until you hear the reason. They use refrigerators…TO KEEP THEIR FOOD FROM FREEZING!

NUMBER 3

Brad Pitt Was a Chicken (literally)

So, you know the movie star you really love? You know what his first job was? Dancing in a chicken suit in front of El Pollo Loco to attract customers. Try getting that out of your head.

NUMBER 4

Penguins’ Jumping Ability is OVER 9,000!!!

And by 9,000, I mean 9 feet. That’s right! Penguins may not be able to fly, but some of them are able to jump higher than you!

NUMBER 5

Sneezing is Deadly

Not only does sneezing stop your heart for a millisecond, but also sneeze too hard and you can fracture a rib. Talk about extreme. However, that’s not the worst of it! If you try to suppress a sneeze, you could pop a blood vessel in your neck or head and die. Now you know the reason you thank God after you sneeze.

NUMBER 6

The Kings in Your Deck were Real Kings!

Spades, diamonds, clubs, and hearts stand for historic rulers. King David, Alexander the Great, Charlemagne, and Julius Caesar are the spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds, respectively.

NUMBER 7

Snails are REALLY Heavy Sleepers

After a sleep-deprived week of tiring, boring school classes, Thursday night, you stay up as long as possible, in order to sleep as long as possible. How long do you sleep? Ten hours? Eleven? Twelve? More? Well, whatever your record, the desert snails have got you beat. 3 years of constant sleep. Kudos to you snails! And we thought we were lazy.

NUMBER 8

Your Eye Color Correlates with Your Personality

Interesting! It’s something I didn’t know. If you want specifics, here they are: Brown eyes indicate a born leader. Blue eyes mean you have good inner and physical strength. Green-eyed people are mysterious. Grey eyes suggest a well-balanced person. These are just generalizations – if these don’t apply to you, don’t blame me: blame the Internet.

NUMBER 9

Ducks, Swans, and Platypi Have Something in Common…

These animals are all really cute, right? And they have something in common: THEY HAVE KILLED PEOPLE!!! Yeah! I couldn’t believe it either! Platypi are poisonous. Swans are aggressive enough to kill you and can only be stopped by being grabbed by the neck and thrown as far away as possible. And once a duck suicide bombed itself into a man’s head, thus killing him. Still think they’re harmless?

NUMBER 10

Honey Never Goes Bad

I found this one pretty cool. Apparently, honey was found in the tombs of ancient Egyptians. For some strange reason someone decided to taste it! Besides it probably being dusty, covered in Egyptian corpse residue, and thousands of years old, it was edible. Hooray!

And that concludes my 10 facts you never knew. Did your head explode? Considering you’re reading this right now, probably not. Do whatever you want with these – try impressing friends, or be satisfied that you now know everything on this list!
