Snapshot

Sitting on the bus seat, comfortable more than I have ever been

Headphones are in

Listening to the music; characterizing every sound of every word, byte, and music beat

For I was relaxed

No work pressure

No friend drama

No teacher drama

No grade issues

The mind was empty

At least for now

I looked out the window

All I saw was lightness and happiness behind the trashed streets and polluted air

And for once

the bus was quite

The children were home, enjoying the beginning of their summer

And for once

I had the seat beside me all to myself

I had a smile on my face

I loved it

It was the last day of the school year
