Today, April 1st, 2017, the PTA Spring Carnival was held from 12 am to 6 pm at the American International School in Egypt. The main purpose of the event was to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357. Personally, I believe that the event was a great success and anyone who was there would agree. Everyone had so much fun and there was a lot to do. There were activities for the children, such as coloring and face painting and there were inflatable castle and slides. In addition, there were multiple soccer tournaments going on and prizes were given to the winning teams. Mince, Tamara, and TED’s were also there offering great food to the people at the carnival. Other than being extremely fun and entertaining, the event was a success since we ended up donating a large amount of money to the hospital.

In addition, we had a very special guest at the carnival who sang a few of his great songs. This guest was Mr. Ahmed Adaweya who is one of the most loved and well-known Egyptian singers of all time. The Cadillacs were also there to entertain us with their great music; they performed numerous songs and proved to have great talent. The band consists of 3 guitar players and a drummer. They are extremely talented and deserve to be thanked for coming to the carnival. Support the Cadillacs by liking their Facebook page (Cadillacs Egypt) and following them on Instagram.

At last, I would like to thank some people, whom without, the carnival would have never been such a success. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) deserves great thanks for organizing this great event and making it happen. The student volunteers also put in a lot of time and effort into keeping everything organized and under control. The workers and staff of AISE must not be forgotten since they also helped with the organization and cleaning of the venue. This event is something to be proud of and I personally can’t wait for next year’s carnival.
