Time is a constantly moving thing. It goes forward and doesn’t favor anyone. When you realize that, the more productive you will be. If you want time to pass quickly because you’re excited for something or because you want something to end, it won’t go faster. To make it feel like it is passing faster you can distract yourself, but in reality it goes at the same pace. If you procrastinated or have a lot of work to do and you want time to go slower, it won’t. The only thing you can do is make use of every minute.

I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true. Use your time wisely because you will never get that second back. There will never be a March 18, 2017 ever again. It is your choice how you use each day of your life. If you choose to spend an hour watching a movie or playing your video game, that’s not bad. However if you spend a whole day catching up on your favorite TV show or playing on your X-BOX, that’s just a waste of the time that you will never get back.

If you choose to spend your time in a worthwhile way, it will benefit you. I didn’t realize how long a day could be until I went back to Ethiopia to spend time with my family. We spent all day together, talking, relaxing and catching up. That time I spent with my family was prosperous, helped me in many ways and made me feel refreshed. If you think about it there are people out there that don’t get a chance to have the time we do. There are children younger than us that passed away before they even knew what time was. The times you spend doing something that is useful will be rewarding to you and the people around you, so make the most of the time you have.
