“Stretch your arm no farther than your sleeve will reach.”
“Don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion.
Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.”
But don’t be haughty.
What will be will be.
Que sera sera.
Remember, remember the thirty-first of December,
The day of unearthing and penning resolutions
More successful than the Gunpowder Treason and Plot.
A new year.
Another day amongst those who exist and those who live.
Another day to decide;
Shall I live…
Or shall I merely exist?
The thirty-first of December,
similarly to any other day,
should never be forgot.
Don’t do the you others want or expect.
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
“The one who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. Those who walk alone are likely to find themselves in places no one has ever been before.”
“Danger often comes from a source that is least expected.”
In this corrupt world,
One ought to remember that “he/she
Who stirs other to go to war
And cause bloodshed is worse
Than those who take part in it.”
In this wondrous world,
One ought to remember to look around and roll in all the riches the world has to offer, regardless of how filthy it may be in reality.
La vita è bella.
“History is written by the victors.”
That may be and that may not be.
It’s a matter of what you choose to believe.
That is not necessarily reality.
Hate is not innate.
Hate is taught.
Things that are taught
Can be untaught.
Live and let live.
Never judge a book by its cover.
The quiet girl/boy
Isn’t necessarily depressed and
Being quiet does not make her/him antisocial per se.
She/he just prefers solitude.
Is that a crime?
An angelic face may be level with an angelic heart…
Or it may conceal a demonic disposition.
So-called deviant, unorthodox thought.
How different the world would be if blindness would cease to exist; if all lived by live and let live.
Do not pity the blind. Pity those who have sight, but have no vision; no heart.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”
Open your eyes.
And only you.
No predetermined way of life…
No other person’s way of life
Can or should dictate your own.
You can walk the footsteps of a stranger and learn things you never knew,
But remember to walk your own path and discover yourself instead of discovering someone else.
On the walk to self-discovery…
“If you cannot find a good companion to walk with, walk alone, like an elephant roaming the jungle. It is better to be alone than to be with those who will hinder your progress.”
Rely solely on yourself.
Be at home with yourself.
Not your looks.
Not your friends.
Not even your family at the end of the day.
In unity, there is indeed strength,
Imagine the way John Lennon did…
But know this: In yourself, there is an invincible strength
That awaits freedom.
A caged bird that longs to sing.
Be your own confidant.
Talk to yourself.
You’re not crazy if you do.
Love yourself without others.
To love yourself only when surrounded by others
Is just as good as not loving yourself at all.
If you are incapable of loving yourself;
Relying on yourself,
How can you do the same with others to begin with?
Learn to be lonely.
Loneliness is made out to be horrible – and it can be -,
But it doesn’t have to be.
Have confidence in yourself.
Not your looks.
Not your smarts or overall ability.
Have enough confidence that nobody and nothing can sway your beliefs.
Let the world say you’re wong.
Let books say you’re wrong.
Let society say you’re wrong.
I say, do you and be you.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Be your own guide.
Build your foundation from scratch or build up from your mistakes
Or from the life you may have had to the life you seek.
It’s never too late.
Live more than you exist.
How can you live correctly?
That, like everything else should be, is entirely up to you at the end of the day.
Live controversially even and let others talk.
Live the way you deem fit and let others live the way they deem fit.
Live and let live.
